Im a complete wuss with any rape scene. that bothers me far more then most horror Ive seen. I found human centipede pretty rough purley because of the whole I have to poo in your mouth thing. Did nt watch the second because of the baby thing and I had a newborn myself at the time. I heard what happened, did nt want to watch it you all know I hate cannibal holocaust. The bit that gets me is whatever they are doing to the women in the mud with rocks and stuff. I presumed they killed her. (adultery punishment). the infamous stuck on a pole scene does nt bother me since I discovered how they pulled it off the saw films I think are pretty twisted in how increasingly bizarre, inventive and gruesome the traps become. To think of such imaginative ways for people to die and mutilate themselves pretty much says it all about your state of mind! seen a lot of salo on youtube. weird. have no idea whats going on hyalf the time apart from the eating poo thing. Caligula fascintes me. not cos its gross but for the insane amount of porn in it! I have heard of quite a few films that are supposedly pretty uncomfortable. Will dig out the list! oh and snuff film? loved it for the manson rip off!

Snuff is terrible, but still amusing to me for some reason.
Rape scenes really get to me more now than they did in the past. I mean, I was never comfortable seeing them, but knowing what I do now, yeah. It's tough.

People killing other people or hurting them get's to me much more than monsters doing it. Like if Freddy or Jason kill someone, it doesn't have near the impact on me as someone that may have broken into a house and stabbing someone that lives there. That's why The Strangers got to me so much. Something made up, a monster or Freddy, Jason, etc....that doesn't upset me because it couldn't happen. But someone doing what happened in The Strangers, that's in the news all the time and it's disturbing.
The poo in Human Centipede was nasty but I found that more funny than disturbing, lol. I guess I'm sick like that.

Im the same regarding monsters vs realness. A horror film is much more disturbing to me when its people rather then aliens/zombies/fictional characters etc. It makes everything seem so much more 'real'. I find anything where someone is being humiliated quite unpleasant. The last house on the left gets to me for this reason. Where they make the girls wet themselves and be sexual etc. Rape is the same. Its humiliating and degrading and much more distressing.
I found 'mum and da' quite nasty. Good and a bit silly at the end, but again its depicting 'real people' and theres a very real possibility that people are like this in real life. (think fred and rose west). Also rouge river with its 'rape' scene was very near the mark for me.
Valhalla Rising man bites dog murder set pieces ( designed to be a fake snuff film) the bunny game deadgirl begotton ichi the killer Martyrs inside Titicut Follies Titicut Follies audition
not seen any of these but its a few that cropped up into conversation a few times with fellow horror fanatics. Enjoy.

I still need to watch Man Bites Dog. I've owned it for a while now, too. Tomas, would that be a good choice for Arnold SchwarzeNovember?

just watched salo on youtube. most of it in fast forward mode I was bored out of my mind. the only gross bit for me was the eating poo bit and the bit at the end where a girl is scalped made me wince a bit. other then that, yawnfest. Maybe the fact I could nt understand a word they said might have had something to do with it. All the so called 'victims' looked either bored or not fussed at all that they were imprisoned, raped and tortured for 4 months.
Ho hum.

Enjoy. Interesting list there. Audition was pretty disturbing and graphic. Been a while since I've seen it, but I remember it being a rough one. I liked Martyrs. A lot on this list I need to see.

I HATED Martyrs so much. First it was boring, then got sorta interesting, then got boring again once the torture started. Plus that cop out ending was one of the shittiest things I've ever seen.

The Bunny Game was messed up man. I've blocked that movie out. Have you read any info about it? Some effed up sh*t. Everything is real and unscripted. The only thing that was fake, was the drug use. Knowing that, messed me up even more.

Maybe I was thinking of Frontiers. I looked both up and Frontiers sounds more familiar to me, maybe I haven't seen Martyrs. The Bunny Game was messed up man. I've blocked that movie out. Have you read any info about it? Some effed up sh*t. Everything is real and unscripted. The only thing that was fake, was the drug use. Knowing that, messed me up even more. I looked this one up too and even the guy writing the review said you may want to pass on this. How can it all be real and no one got in trouble and it won all those awards at that film festival? Not doubting you, that just blows my mind.
