I guess I can see how people can hate it... Oh, no I can't. It's a fantastic film that really was great to watch. Land is a great way to end the series.
YES IT ENDED THERE, DAMMIT!

I guess people expected something more like Dawn, and they felt it was too mean spirited and ugly. They weren't ready for that type of film.

I guess it was too realistic for them, considering it was a zombie movie. But the best zombie films are about the internal struggle of the people, not the OH ish ZOMBIES aspect. That's a bonus.

That's the part most film makers seem to forget.

Yep. It's the human element that makes the film entertaining.

I had a problem with the zombies walking under water to get to the people. It's been a while since I've seen it, but, IF things were able to come back from the dead I don't think they would get smarter as time went by. On the contrary, I think they would get stupider and weaker as their bodies decomposed more and more.
Plus, have you ever tried to sink to the bottom of a pool and walk? As a kid, I did often. It's pretty difficult. To try to get me to buy that an army of dead people did it, that was a little too much for me. Although, they are rotten, so a lot of the gases that would make a person buoyant are probably gone, so maybe it was easier for them. Also, I really hate John Leguizamo. A lot.

Was it unrealistic? Yes. Scientifically impossible? Sure. Cool as f*ck when they started to emerge from the water? HELL YES!

Well, it's not like people coming back to life isn't pretty out there anyway, and I love zombie movies. I think it was Leguizamo I had the biggest issue with. I thought him in the cast took away from the movies horror legitimacy if I remember right. Just felt like he was comic relief for a movie that should have very little. Again, it's been a long time. I'll rewatch this for the 31 days.

I've seen a zombie fight a shark in a film, so that didn't bother me at all.

I've seen a zombie fight a shark in a film, so that didn't bother me at all. That was badass. I've always said a Zombies vs Jaws movie should have been made. Maybe one day.
