Eureka Entertainment just announced that their next installment in their Masters of Cinema line will be none other than F. W. Murnau’s legendary silent cinema horror classic Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror (1919). This release includes a UK theatrical run and selected cinemas nationwide on Friday October 25, 2013, just in time for Halloween. In addition to the theaterical run Eureka will also be releasing it on DVD and Bluray with a bunch of different special features. They haven’t divulged any of those features yet but closer to the release date they will let us know. This particular print has also been masterfully restored in Germany by Friedrich-Wilhelm-Murnau-Stiftung (FWMS). linkI'd actually love to see this in the theater, might have to make an exception for this.

I'd be thrilled to see this in a theater. Not just one of the best vampire films, it's one of the best films ever made PERIOD.

It would really be awesome to see this in the theater at a midnight showing. That would probably be too late for us, my stepson is usually in bed by 8 or so, but it would be awesome.

This will be an interesting crowd to be a part of. I was hoping this would get the midnight treatment. This is even better. I hope this gets shown in theaters like the Sunshine. Slightly more of an intimate setting, smaller, more loyal crowd. Similar to how we saw Maniac, only with awesome stadium seating.

I imagine this would be a very diverse crowd. You have the older horror fans who grew up watching Universal films, the dedicated horror fanatics like us, and a handful of people who may never have seen it before wanting to check it out.

I like the fact that it comes as pure as it can with the German cards with English subtitles. That's just great. Might watch it that way only, since I gotta read it anyway, right?
