Man, this was pretty brutal!! Good movie, now I really need to see the original. I wanted to see them in order but I couldn't wait, lol. Liked this a lot and I thought Elijah Wood was perfect in it.

It was so surreal, wasn't it?

It was pretty freaking good man, glad I watched it. Some of it was over the top brutal, and I like that. Definitely gets my vote.

It was sick. But sick in the right way. Just over the top without being unrealistic.

Oh yeah. Not unrealistic at all. What I'd imagine it would look like in real life if it were happening, that's what made it brutal for me. Some of the scenes are so disturbing because they look so real. This was done right. I really need to see the original now just to see the differences.

They're both great films, but really, I find this one much better than the original. It was brutal and fantastic and sickening all in one.

The original has great effects by Tom Savini, and a bit more variety with the kills. Joe Spinell is fantastic in it.
Glad you liked this one Dave. We truly need more horror films like this one to be made. Films like these are why I'm a fan of this genre.

Best part was, knew the first 2 kills were coming and they still spook the hell out of you.

That's definitely the sign of a well done film.

It was great. Shows that remakes don't have to suck. Not sure what's up next on the horror front for me, really want to see the BD version of Body Bags, but I may do another new film first. Where the F is the uncut Evil Dead??

Remakes can do well with the right people. Wood has his own production company that will be focusing on some horror films. I think he mentioned a Middle Eastern film about a girl and a ghost. The way he described it made it sound real interesting.

It also shows how awesome practical effects are and that you don't need to be a wuss about the violence. That movie was so wonderfully violent.

It made me panic a little in spots at what I was seeing...that's freaking great. If it can do that, I like it.

That one scene where he has the woman tied up on the bed then just yanks her scalp off...holy ish. That one really got me.

Man, that and the car crash scene. Those were really rough.
