How does this classic not have a thread yet? Watching this as part of my 31 Days catchup right now, and I'm loving it. Haven't seen it in years, and I regret that. A great use of puppetry in cinema. Wish I had Gremlins 2 to follow this up with, because I just love films like this.
A family friendly horror with a great story, great characters, and great effects. And a great theme.

It's fun. Shouldn't more movies be fun? Even if they're out for a scare?
Why I like Santa's Slay. It's bloody, gory and fun.

They should indeed be fun, and this one really is. Gonna have to try to watch it on my day off.

I still wish Yoda was a puppet. Stupid Jedi duels ruining puppet Yoda.

Gremlins was a fond part of my childhood and is a comfort movie for me strangely enough. Did you also know that Gremlins is the movie that prompted the MPAA to create the PG-13 movie rating? Awesome classic good time fun here.

This and Temple of Doom. Which is awesome and sad at the same time. Still, there are good uses to the PG-13 rating.

There's a BD 3 pack that has 1, 2, and The Goonies. I gotta pick that up at some point. Definite must haves for my collection.
What sucks now is movies that would've been pg-13 are R today. That's because the damn MPAA started getting S! A! W! F! T! SAWFT!

I actually bought the CD soundtrack to this movie because its some of Jerry Goldsmiths best work IMO.

I never saw The Goonies believe it or not, or if I did I don't remember it at all. Definitely be nice to finally have it since everyone raves about it so much.
