I didn't know that. The Blu-rays have this footage included?

VHS versions are uncut, and this BD release of the first is uncut. Not sure if they're going to release 2 and 3, but one can hope they eventually will.

Not to mention, the DVD's are cut. The first film is missing about 7 minutes of footage, and the second film is missing 2 minutes. The fact that this will be uncut is what got me wanting it more. I could care less if it was on BD or DVD, I want the uncut copy on a disc.

Legacy Entertainment's 2003 DVD release of Sleepaway Camp was the uncut version. The only thing missing was Robert Hiltzik's opening title sequence, dedicating the film to his mother.
The second film though, was the cut version which blows chunks. But I paid 2 bucks for it, can't complain too much lol

why? it isn't a tangible improvement on anything. it is only something dreamed up to make more profit It seems some new films ate only getting blu-ray releases. Plus they cost much as a DVD player did only a few years ago. It's not much more, really. And I'm not a vhs guy. Because I've really worn them out over when i was younger. i had a similar problem about fifteen years ago. i finally had to break down and get a cd player, only because i wanted one song, and it could only be gotten on a cd that hadn't been available in the u.s. for five years, and had to be imported from holland. all together, it cost me $130 to get my song on cassette tape like i wanted. with movies, i prefer vhs because i actually watch very few movies. i fast forward through them to see if i want to watch them. when you fast forward a tape, you see every scene. when you fast forward a dvd, you perhaps see a quarter of the scenes

Depending on the player. My BD player can double and triple the speed of the video without skipping at all. Going faster than that it does skip, though.

Watching a film on the slowest fast forward is extra hilarious since it still has sound.

That is awesome. Love the fact they used a comic book illustrative style for the cover.

Their covers are always fantastic. Another beauty from Scream Factory.

I've only seen the first three. I think the fourth one is essentially a clip show. Of the three I've seen this may be the best, although I do like 2 a lot. Bruce Springsteen sister takes over as Angela in those first two sequels.
As far as this one goes, as weird and off-beat as it is, it works. Not a great slasher, but still worth checking out. The first time around, though, I wasn't too floored. Doesn't help I knew the ending, thanks to Robot Chicken.
I need to see the documentary about this series.
My favorite line has to be when the kids are playing baseball and the one retorts back with, "Eat s@#& and live."
Curling irons are underused as a horror weapon, btw.

I saw the sequels first, thanks to late night HBO/Showtime (which is where I caught many movies I probably shouldn't have as a kid) long before I saw the original.
I probably mentioned that already somewhere, probably even this thread, but has to mention it again.
