A lot of times, easy is the best way to go.

It'll look OK on our TV. I really need a BD player. If I like the DVDs as much as I do on my standard player, a BD player would probably blow me away. Even if the detail was a little much in some movies.

Haha, especially a lot of the newer, special effects heavy films. A lot of older movies don't really need it, but it's nice to have them anyway since they tend to come with a truckload of special features.

May treat myself to one. Right now we have one credit card to pay off and then a new Honda. But, if I can find one at the right price, I might sneak it in.

They're cheaper than they've ever been right now, so I'm sure you can find a good deal around.

I've seen some cheap ones online, but I don't want a Konka. Their TV didn't last two years.

I paid 70 for mine 2 years ago and it still kicks ass and hasn't needed and upgrade yet. Love it, and it was being discontinued too. Just look around, you can get a decent name brand for a good price with a little legwork. It's so worth it with a lot of BDs being the price of DVDs now, even from the start. No more of that $35 - $50 bullshit unless it's a special edition.
Or the Avengers. LOWER THE FACKING PRICE ALREADY!

Yeah. Best Buy has a ton of stuff in their bargain bin for between 5-10 bucks, so you can amass a collection pretty damn easily.

Sadly most of that stuff I don't even want to own.
Dammit Best Buy, put your Criterion BDs on sale!

I've gotten a lot of older stuff from there. The Conan films, Escape From New York, Clash of the Titans, Caddyshack, Alien, Aliens, stuff like that. Just wish they had an actual horror section. That's what Amazon is for though I guess.

It really blows. There used to be some real organization and sections there, but now it's abysmal. And with Kim's closing where can we really go for good DVD/BD browsing?

I'm going to have to look around. Even though we didn't buy a lot from Kim's as of late, it was still a really fun place to browse. Never had so much fun just looking at really out there ish. Not sure what we can find to replace it.
