To kick this off, which did you think was better?
The original Wolfman from 1941 with Lon Chaney Jr., or the newer one with Benicio Del Toro?
I personally think the original is far superior, but I'm biased in my horror, I love the older stuff.
What do you guys think?

I much prefer the original. I didn't care much for the new one. Great acting, but the graphics didn't do the film justice. There was no need for the cartoonish video. And Hopkins being a werewolf too threw me. The original was far better as far as I'm concerned.

Toughy. Hopkins stole the show in the remake, made me like it even more, but I still have to go with the original.

Probably the original. I mean, Lon Chaney, Jr. IS the Wolf Man. No one else.
That whole background with Hopkins' character in the remake also through me for a loop. Very unnecessary.
I should still rewatch the remake one day, but the original has more replay value to me.

I enjoyed the remakes, but the original from 1941 is my favorite of the Wolfman movies by far! There is so much about it that makes it so amazing and timeless! I will give the 2010 version credit for being a lot better than most remakes, though. There is also one from 1979 that has its share of obvious flaws like a lightbulb turning on in a little shed out back during times of candle light for one, but it is overall entertaining and not bad if you can overlook the flaws in there. It does have its share of awesome and intense moments if given a fair chance.
