I liked both, but I have to go with the original. Just a classic horror movie done right. One of my favorites.

Sweet. I like a poll that isn't completely one sided, lol.

i'll have to miss this vote out as i haven't watched the rob zombie version yet.
perhaps a "not sure" option could be included for future votes.

Yeah, I guess that would make sense. Rather than assuming everyone has seen every movie remake, lol.

I voted Rob Zombie remake.
I respect the original very much, but it hasn't aged well at all. I showed it to my brother-in-law about 2 years ago and told him what a great and classic film it was, but as I watched it I was bored out of my mind. Way too slow paced for me.
I like the fact that Zombie shows us Michael's childhood and shows how he goes from a violent youth to the silent killer he grew up to be. The back story was very enjoyable and when he escapes, it's just awesome.

I love the original and watch it every year. Meh, to each their own, but I think it's stood the test of time really well.

I can't man, it's so boring to me. I love the original Halloween 2 though.

You know what actually isn't bad, is Halloween 3, if you can get past the fact that it's not supposed to be a sequel. As a stand alone movie, it's pretty good.

I heard the original concept of the franchise was supposed to be different creepy and horrible events happening around the Halloween holiday, but Michael was so popular they had to build the franchise around him. Same thing with Friday The 13th.
I watched it but didn't much care for it myself. It wasn't completely horrible, just not really my taste. Interesting concept overall, but I felt it dragged a bit.

I was quite disgusted with the remake. I had such high hopes, too. One of the worst horror remakes ever, along with Psycho.
