I am going to take a vote! I want to know what you guys think. Which was the better franchise. Halloween (Michael Myers) or Friday The 13th (Jason Voorhees). Please let me know what you guys think. Debate, argue, discuss, share! -Thanks Attachments:

First off, welcome to the forum. Now the poll...that's a freaking tough decision. Both are great franchises, and both were a huge part of my growing up on horror. If I have to pick one over the other, I'm going to go with the Halloween franchise. The first two movies just had such great atmosphere and the third one, while set apart from the original story, is also a favorite of mine. Love the Friday movies, especially the first few, but if I have to pick I'm going with Halloween.

I've seen every film from both franchises, but I've not seen them all recently. This... is tough. I guess I have to go with which franchise has the the films I like most.
Halloween has Halloween 3, but Friday the 13th has Jason Takes Manhattan AND Freddy vs. Jason, so that gets the win for me.
Wait, I lied. I've never seen Rob Zombie's Halloween 2.

I didn't even count the Rob Zombie Halloweens in my decision. Halloween 1, 2 and 3 sealed my decision, even though I like a lot of them after that as well. Like I said, I love the Friday movies and Jason is a badass, but the first Halloween is just so perfect to me.

I'm going with Scott's idea of choosing which franchise has more films I enjoy, so it easily goes to Friday the 13th.
Out of 12 Halloween films, I only like 4. Out of 12 Friday films, I like 9.

Deciding to watch the Halloweens I got from Tomas, and I have to say, it might win me over as top franchise. At least until I can rewatch all the Friday movies once again. I really have to pick that up on DVD or BD finally. Truly enjoy those films. I got Nightmare, I now got most of Halloween, I just need Friday.
This year's 31 Nights of Halloween is going to be a great one.

That is a tough call, they are both on a par for me.
