That makes a lot of sense. Same with sequels that are cash grab only. Sours the movie going experience.
Then there's also the movies studios make because they don't want to the lose the property, which is understandable, but a lot of bad movies are made that way too.

A remake of Carnival of Souls could benefit from updated special FX make-up by someone like Tom Savini.
House of Wax might be a good candidate for a remake. Too bad we can't resurrect Vincent Price to star in it though.

I liked how in the 90s HBO or Showtime were doing a series of Roger Corman remakes with the Roger Corman Presents series if films like Wasp Woman and A Bucket of Blood.
I wouldn't mind seeing the latter redone with a better budget in today's modern art scene. Or maybe a new take on Color Me Blood Red, a similar flick.
