Here's one that you may like, Queenfreaky. Set for release later this year. "The modern-day story focuses on beautiful young vampires (Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter) who are living the good nightlife in New York until love enters the picture and each has to make a choice that will jeopardize their immortality." Project Details: * Filmed in Detroit, Michigan. * Actress Sigourney Weaver describes her character (a vampire queen) as a "delicious throwback to the old fashioned vampire, who really does enjoy doing what she does." * Malcolm McDowell plays vampire lord "Vlad Tepish", otherwise known as the infamous "Vlad the Impaler", who apparently enjoys wearing velvet jogging suits and knitting his spare time. * Zak Orth plays "Renfield", a young nerdy friend of Stacy (Ritter) and Goody (Silverstone), who tries to act tougher than he really is. * Marilu Henner will play "Angela", an ill woman who gets "awakened" to her former hot self. * Wallace Shawn will portray "Dr. Van Helsing", a well-known vampire expert and hunter. * Justin Kirk will portray "Vadim", a Russian vampire always on the prowl for a good time. * Dan Stevens will portray "Joey Van Helsing", a college student smitten with Stacy (Krysten Ritter). * Todd Barry will portray "Ivan", blood-thirsty vampire Cisserus’ (Sigourney Weaver) loyal assistant. * Actor/comedian Richard Lewis plays a former student activist who works as an ACLU lawyer. * Actress Sigourney Weaver plays "Ciccerus" -- a bloodthirsty vampire queen, who turned the two female leads into creatures of the night. * Writer/director Amy Heckerling also directed Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Clueless. * Described as a "romantic horror-comedy". www.upcominghorrormovies.com/

Malcom McDowell rocks! woill watch this for him alone alone lol. Still a vampire is a vampire and providing its well acted and the plot is passable I'll probably enjoy it. Although I am a tad worried they are trying to capitalise on twilight.

No offense, but this doesn't interest me in the least. If I'm seeing a horror movie, I want to be scared. I'm alright with a vampire movie, as long as it's good and scary. These movies with vampires falling in love with humans are just, they need their own genre, far away from horror. I can't take them.
Vampires always used the ability to hypnotize and seduce women, but it's gotten out of hand. I'll stick with Dracula. Again, no offense, but it's not horror.

Lol, I agree man. Twilight has ruined vampires for a lot of folks. Glad that we can always turn to the old classics and get a dose of real horror.

Im tempted to have a goth style rant but instead I would like to point out that some of us enjoyed twilight, and enjoyed seeing vampires portrayed in a different stlye. Again I repeat what I have mentioned countless times before, twilight is not supposed to be a horror film but a romance, therefore it has no intention to scare, or freak people out. we all have different tastes (I for one am bored to death with old style black and white hammer horror and anything related to zombies much to endos disgust ) so having to listen to one of my fave films slagged off at every oppertunity on this forum is getting a bit boring. The above film that this thread is about clearly states its supposed to be some kind of romantic comedy, with some vampires chucked in probably to make it a bit more cool lol, so I dont think this is supposed to be a blood and guts spaltter fest. Sorry to winge, but Ive just been taunted by an evil ronald mcdonald over at the wasteland section, and am slightly not myself.

My apologies Ali. I wasn't trying to bash Twilight or movies of the like, just saying that they aren't my thing. You like them, and I didn't realize it had upset you, and I apologize.
The way I look at it, this forum is for everyone and whatever they like. I like some movies other folks wouldn't even bother sitting through the opening credits of. Won't happen again. And it doesn't disgust me that you don't like the old B+W vampire flicks. To each their own. If everyone liked the same thing, it'd be a pretty boring place. Didn't mean to upset you. I will keep it in mind in the future.

It would seem so, unfortunately. But hey, just because it isn't my type of movie doesn't mean some won't like it. So for them, here they go. And a trailer for this piece of...cinematic creativity.
