Great, scary film. Loved the story, but love the movie more.

Yeah, it's a good movie. Cusack was perfect as Mike Enslin and Jackson was great as Olin. I wouldn't have thought so, but he was. Pulled off really well.

i borrowed this off a mate. he said it was a good film and i was thinking "yeah, you've said that about films before"
i watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I watched this film on a busted tv with horrible speakers and I enjoyed this movie watched it later on a great tv and speaker setup and damn this movie was perfect... odd it took this long to be posted on the forum

It's a good movie, but I still have some problems with it.
John Cusack is great in this. Samuel L. Jackson has a thankless role, in my opinion. Doesn't have a lot to work with. Some of the effects don't hold up. Could have gone with different camera angles in shots as well. As well as different reaction shots.
The ending is okay, but could still use some work. The one with Mike and his wife listening to his conversation with their dead daughter on the tape recorder. The only movie to have great multiple endings is Clue. Only one that I can think of right now.
1408 isn't a bad movie, just an okay one. Leaves me wanting.

I thought it was a pretty good on screen representation of the story, and to me it's one Kings best, as far as his shorter works go. Wasn't a great movie, but I liked it a lot.
