"Based on the best-selling novel, “Pines,” by Blake Crouch, and brought to life by suspenseful storyteller M. Night Shyamalan (“The Sixth Sense,” “Signs,”), WAYWARD PINES is an intense, mind-bending new thriller in which nothing is what it seems. Secret Service agent ETHAN BURKE (Academy Award nominee Matt Dillon, “Crash,” “City of Ghosts”) arrives in the bucolic town of Wayward Pines, ID, on a mission to find two missing federal agents. But instead of answers, Ethan’s investigation only turns up more questions. Each step closer to the truth takes Ethan further from the life he knew, from the husband and father he was, until he must face the terrifying reality that he may never get out of Wayward Pines alive."

Been wanting to read the book for a while. It sounds really intriguing. This new series shows a lot of potential too! Looking forward to it.

Looks alright from this, at least Shyamalan is only producing it and not directing it.

Dammit, I knew I forgot to catch up one something today. Gotta find a way during the week. The show was okay this first few episodes, but that twist in episode 5 makes it worth sitting through. Liking the show a lot. Probably own it on disc.

Watching episode one of this right now. So far it's been pretty good. My problem is that I read the book. They have taken certain liberties with the plot, no doubt to streeeeeeeetch it out to last as a series. I love Matt Damon though...he da bomb.

I've never read the books, but I know in Under the Dome they really changed the book to make it into a series. Personally, I feel that one would have been better as a mini series rather than a series as I think it's really lost steam. I tried the first episode of season 3 and just couldn't watch it, just not into it at all any more.
That said, I've really liked the episodes of Wayward Pines I've seen so far, but again, I've never read the books so I have no idea how different the show is from the books so I could see how it could put the people that have read the books off some.
