True dat, besides who could replace Elisha Cook, Jr.?
Here's a Halloween gift from your newest member to everyone who loves Vincent Price and the original version of House on Haunted Hill. Enjoy!
Colorized for the viewing pleasure of the youngsters here who don't quite get "black and white."

Sweet!! Just in time for Halloween. Thanks for posting it;)
And, Elisha Cook Jr. was one of those character actors that was just great in pretty much everything he did. If I saw the credits and saw he was in the movie, I pretty much knew it would be good.

Color?! Booooo!
I almost bought the colored version on dvd just to say I own it. Still might, if I ever find it for cheap. But I already have 2 different compilation dvds with HoHH on it in BAW, but I'd love to get a legit one that might have any sort of bonus features.

I know how you feel, I'm partial to the original version myself and that's the one I have in my home collection. I just thought the younger ones might not appreciate B&W. Look at it this way, you have the best version in your collection and you can watch the colorized version right here - it's a win/win situation.

True enough. Sometimes a classic film's colorization takes away from a film. Thankfully, this film is so strong it doesn't get hurt by it being colored.
I have to scan that video now to see what the severed head looks like colored.

The original is a masterpiece. I can watch it a million times and never be sick of it.

Trilogy Of Terror, the last story with the Zuni fetish doll, had me out of the house and across the neighborhood, lol. I don't think I went home til it was dark.
This movie is a great watch. Some things don't make sense, but to me, that's part of it's charm.

It's Vincent Price. It doesn't need to make sense.

That's the way I always looked at all of his movies. Really disappointed in the lack of Vincent Price this Halloween on TV. Last year it was House Of Wax, The Abominable Dr. Phibes, Tales Of Terror, nothing so far this year, and it's almost over. Probably show them all Monday on my day back to work.

Couple of months ago, I did a VP marathon night, with House on Haunted Hill, The Last Man on Earth, Shock and The Tingler.
Now that I have the Pit and the Pendulum on dvd, I need to do that night all over again. Man, there are still movies of his I want. What I wouldn't give for a box set of some of his work.

Same here. The Last Man On Earth is the best movie to date on Matheson's story. I was pumped for the one with Will Smith, but they ruined that too.

I ignore the I Am Legend title and just enjoy that movie for what it is, an action scifi vampire flick,

My wife loves that story and has been waiting forever for a new movie on it. When I Am Legend came out, we thought that would be it, but, it fell way short of our expectations. Good movie for what it was, but when you put that title on it...I just expected so much more.
At least I have the Price film. Looks like that'll be the best it gets for now.
