That's a hoot! Wouldn't surprise me if they really did make a toy like that for kids today. Reminds me a little of the "Thing Maker" where kids got to cook their own Creepy Crawlers." Anyone here old enough to remember this commercial...

I had a Creepy Crawlers back in the 90s. Those were so damn cool. Make creepy crap while making it all artistic and whatnot. Loved it. Although my ferrets loved eating the goo (thankfully non-toxic). One ferret got into my bedroom, ate a crapload of them, as well as a random piece of plastic. We had to have surgery on her to get the plastic out because she wasn't eating anything.

I don't think I ever had these. I remember Shrinky Dinks, and I remember seeing the commercials for Creepy Crawlers, don't know why I never asked for them. I don't remember the commercial you posted occupant, but I remember some later ones.

I think they even had one of those bug makers that made edible bugs. Anyone remember that?

Yep, edible bugs - what kid wouldn't love it.

I think I had a Doctor Dreadful set of some sort. I remember making edible bugs and what not growing up. I'm sure that's one of my parents' proudest moments
