Arash (Arash Marandi) lives in a town with a very appropriate name; Bad City. He works hard, but he is stuck at home with a father who is forever in debt due to issues with gambling and addiction. In fact, after coming home one night, his father's dealer Saeed (Dominic Rains), tells him that he is so far in debt to him that he will need to take Arash's car which he worked so long to get. One night, he goes to a costume party and takes some ecstasy, and finds himself woken up on the middle of a sidewalk. He comes face to face with a mysterious girl dressed in black (Sheila Vand) who asks him who he is, to which he replies "Dracula." She offers to walk him home and then they have a really nice discussion while he attempts to sober up. In the morning, she is gone. They meet nightly, but she has a dark secret that may change the way he feels about her...
This film had a very limited release and I was originally planning on seeing it in the theater, but it was only playing once a day and my constantly changing work schedule did me no favors. I then thought about doing a blind buy, and even entered a contest to win a free copy, but then saw it was on Netflix. My movie group decided to watch this one day and well, I'm VERY glad I didn't pay to see this. Wow, it was AWFUL.
What I thought was supposed to be a haunting and eerie vampire horror film was instead a slow, boring art film with barely any story, long shots of nothing, lame characters, and pointless dialogue that absolutely REEKED of pretentiousness. To call this a letdown would be a severe understatement. After about 40 minutes of nothing important happening, I pretty much just started playing with my phone and occasionally glancing at my television to see if anything interesting happened. It never did.
There are only 2 positive things I can say about this film; 1. The soundtrack is excellent, and 2. There is a really cute cat in it. If you like art films, then maybe you'll dig this, but for me personally, I found it a complete bore and a chore to sit through.

This is a damn shame. I really wanted to see it. I probably still will, but I will be expecting a lot less.

I honestly don't see what people were raving about. I tried to get into it, but after 40 minutes I just gave up and played with my phone while using it as background noise.
