Monika (Monika M.) is a nurse with a passion for necrophilia. Hearing about the death of our protagonist from the first film, she decides to dig up his grave and take him home. She has sex with the corpse and even times a camera to have pictures taken of her cuddling it. She painstakingly cleans the corpse as well, hoping to keep it fresh for a very long time. As she goes for a night at the carnival, she meets a man whom she becomes somewhat interested in named Mark (Mark Reeder).
The two become close and friendly, going on many dates together, but there is a problem with the intimacy. Try as she might to enjoy it, she just can't seem to get into it and climax with Mark. Things start to get strange when she asks Mark to lie still and not make a sound, as if he were a corpse. She photographs him lying in these positions and seems a bit too excited about showing him photos of dead relatives. He has some concerns about this, but he does not express them to Monika outwardly.
Monika decides however, that she at least needs to try and make this relationship work and be normal, so she decides to hack Rob's corpse to pieces to dispose of him. She still can't seem to let him go though, and decides to keep the head and genitals for herself. After another date, Mark sleeps over and discovers the genitals in the fridge, which truly make him question what her deal is and if he should end the relationship right away. He goes to a bar and has a discussion with a friend, as Monika decides to have a movie night with friends.
This is no ordinary movie night though. Her and the girls are watching a video of a seal dissection, complete with Rob's severed head on the coffee table! An overly eager Mark unexpectedly drops by with a pizza, which brings movie night to a screeching halt. Disgusted by what he sees, Mark gives Monika a choice about whether or not to be with him. Conflicted by her dark passions and yet with a desire to be normal, what will she choose to do?
I read many reviews telling me this sequel was far inferior, but I figured I'd buy both anyway because hey, I tend to be a completionist with these things! Even with that warning, nothing, and I mean NOTHING, could have prepared me for how painfully boring this film was. I mean, I get that you don't want to simply rehash the first film. I honestly find that commendable, but this was more like a mix of boring date movie and art house film than horror.
The pacing of this film is extremely slow, complete with long scenes of not much happening at all. There is a scene where the 2 go to the movies, and we watch the same boring film they are for a few minutes. There's also the very long and boring sex scene with the corpse, cleaning the corpse, her taking pictures...it just goes on and on as if to truly test your patience. The only worthwhile scene is the ending, which is delightfully gory and at the same time absolutely hilarious (well, if you're a sick gorehound like me anyway). Overall, not a film worth going out of your way to see, and a painfully disappointing sequel.

Speaking of painful sequels, gorepolice please tell me you're going to do Human Centipede 3. I'm sure you'll have some great things to say about it.

I have heard nothing but hate for the third film thus far. I'm really not looking forward to it now.

It's pretty bad man, but I had to see it to know. Now I do.

I hear it's just the old guy yelling for most of it, and you only get the centipede during the last 5 minutes. Seems like a complete waste of time.

Sweet! Didn't even have to watch anything more than the trailer!

Pretty much everything decent was in the trailer. It was literal screaming, and very hard to understand screaming at that, for most of the movie.

I'm so bummed out by that. After how stupidly hilarious part 2 was, I thought this one would be just as ridiculous.
