The Skins released Kellen Clemens today, going with John Beck and Rex Grossman as the QBs. Really? No wonder we never win a championship. Bank on two older guys, when you could have kept Clemens, who was awesome in college, and molded him into a great QB. That's what they need is a young fella to sit on the bench for a while and learn. Instead they think they can get a championship in a season. We'll see.

I agree Tony, but they all start somewhere. Peyton Manning was drafted by the Colts right out of college and was really bad for a while, now look at him. I don't have an issue with Beck starting, I just think they should have kept Clemens as a backup. Don't most teams have 3 QBs anyway?

I think greenbay only has two aswell.. actually there may just be a few more with the same set up... I agree with you take a young guy and mold and shape him into let's say your "Aaron rogers" instead of looking like an asshole like arizona when your superbowl ticket says I'm done I'm gonna retire and find yourself spending an entire season wondering which shitty guy can I throw in this game

Yeah, it's because of the new rules in the NFL. They can only have 46 players in uniform ready to go. They still have a 53 man roster, but 7 players can't suit up for the game. Guess they didn't want to waste the money on a QB standing around all season.

Grossman starts Sunday against the Giants. I'd feel better with Beck, but I think the Skins are going to win.
