Now let me first start off by saying i dont know if this is the right area to post this, i was gonna put it in "anything else" but i feel it deals with enough tech i should be covered by that blanket lol. So this is my office/set up/battle station it is definitely a wip (work in progress) i have another poster coming in the mail to put up in the frame. i have a ton of things as far as decor like smaller prints, display boxes, figures, etc that i have not set up yet... or bought a shelf to put them on. I dont know what i want to do with the rest as far as do i make it also a second tv room, or if this will be the room i continue to use i may take another room or migrate to the basement just not sure yet. right now the rest of this room is completely bare lol. give you an idea the previous owner was using this room as a living room they had a wrap around sectional in it along with there tv and stand and a shelf... i have a 55" desk and a filling cabinet.. but the acoustics are aaammaaaziiing! any thoughts suggestions or comments

I like the setup, similar to mine at the moment, minus the 27" monitor which I REALLY want. Nice to see you using McGanni's theme as well. I try to change the banner seasonally. That is the spring/summer one. Maybe one for the dog days of summer. Then the crazy pumpkin man for fall!

Im using a 32" 1080p Samsung tv 200ish dollars for a 1080p 60hz with the option of still being a tv or 1000ish dollar monitor for the same size and resolution. one of those options definitely make sense ( prices may be exaggerated)

Nice man! I have a 19" monitor and it needs to be bigger. But, I'm so cheap I have to wait til it dies before buying a new one.

Have the same speakers as you too, just an older Logitech version with the center and rear speakers and sub-woofer. Had them at least 12 years and they've never failed. Stand firmly behind Logitech products.
Nice Wonka poster as well!!

Stand firmly behind Logitech products. Nice Wonka poster as well!! Yea they are a 5.1 channel but i dont use the rear speakers since i have no way to mount them behind me and plus all those cables would drive me insane. I picked up the speakers a long while ago when i lived in Illinois off craigslist pretty good price at the time. Logitech is pretty solid i hear their warranty process is real easy but i never had to deal with it. The Wonka poster is a pretty small let down kinda pixelated and flimsy paper.. probably wont be buying from think geek for awhile. Here are some things i need to find a place to display: Fallout: Display boxes from PC hardware: Random Things: Hover Board brought this home from my office at work still haven't figure out how to use it at the house. no place to install this may keep just as insurance.

Tony Hates Everything I have a 32" TV we're currently not using and was thinking of using it as a monitor. But, I play a lot of PC games and am worried about lag. How would I check that it would work for gaming before going through all of the trouble with hooking it up and all?

This guy's videos tend to suck but this is probably the best guide when it comes to using a tv as a monitor. As he says in the video unless its super old or you are a Major League Gamer a TV is not a option for a monitor. I personally play lots of single player games and never have any issues

Thanks Tony Hates Everything The one I'd be using isn't 1080 but 720. It's an older Maganavox LCD. I'll give it a shot, if it sucks, I blame you. Just kidding, I'll just plug in my 19" monitor again.

I'm sure you will be fine, unless your'e playing those competitive first person shooters then you may notice a small delay in your response time. I hardly have ever used a monitor for gaming only once in my life did i use 2x 27" monitors from acer everything else has always been a tv.

Thanks brother, keep thinking 32" will be too big, but I'm sure I'll get used to it in no time.

My eyes suck and using the tv seems to help with eye fatigue, at work i can barley stand looking at the screens for 20 minutes
