nickpic.host/I know a lot of folks got burned and are pissed about PhotoBucket all of a sudden wanting $399 a year to host their images, and I know it's fakked up a lot of forums including this one to an extent. Definitely check out NickPicHost.com as they are made with forumers and RP'ers in mind. Completely free and reliable, though they would certainly welcome donations to help cover server costs. $10 to them vs. $399 to crappy PhotoBucket, it's a win win. Let PhotoBucket know they suck, and give this place a shot. Support them and help them grow, so all of our images stay safe and sound!

As I mentioned in the shoutbox, I have already dedicated myself to IMGur. I used to use them just as a quickie "guest" host when I wanted to post an image that I didn't really care to put into my own photobucket account. IMGur is probably the GOAT online image hosting site, in my opinion. Although I even find it tempting to donate money to other free image hosts, just for the sake of saying F-U to photobucket. 13 years of membership with 6 different accounts, and they screw me over like this. Not just me, either. They put a giant hole in the internet with their insane ransom demands. Enraging. I gotta admit, though. I am kinda having a blast moving all my images to IMGur, and redistributing them throughout my forum. It is a massive pain in the ass, but just knowing I'm leaving photobucket makes it all worth while. Not to mention that once I'm finally fully merged to IMGur, I won't have to wait an hour for Photobucket's popup ads and EXTREMELY slow loading time when browsing through the library or even hosting an image. Check out the comments on their facebook page for great fun.

Is this nick cage a joke im not aware of lol If you click the random link at the top of their page you can see the kinds of uploads people are doing on their site and everything is avatar, sig, a role playing image, or a forum banner.. this is satisfying.

Imgur is awesome Jason , many images here are hosted there, and I agree about the ease of use, just upload and get a share link, done, good stuff. But, they are getting away from hotlinking images and will remove your images, which is what I don't like about them. They've removed images and left many in a lurch just as Photobucket is doing now. Imgur is great for instant hosting, but long term they aren't the best, at least in my experience. NickPicHost is made with forums and Rp'ing in mind, so long term hosting of images is what they're about. Free as well. I'm not bashing Imgur at all, great host. But, for long term hosting, NickPicHost does it for me the best. For now.

I'm going to check out Nickpick.host just for the sake of it, anyway.
Can you elaborate on what you mean by IMGur deleting images? I barely created an account there a few days ago, but I used them as a guest host for years and I've never seen those pictures get deleted. I also heard that they used to delete images from guest hosts if the image didn't receive one view in 6 months, but now they just leave everything there forever.

From what I understand, they dislike hotlinking to images. I've posted images, including my sig before, that were removed with a "sorry that image has been deleted or is no longer available" message. Happened recently and if you click our affiliate, Mrs. Nesbit's Disney board you'll see it. Haven't had time to contact everyone to add a fixed one. Imgur just deleted it.

I'm seeing it in your screenshot Tony Hates Everything , but not in posts like your pic shows. Is this everywhere on the forum for you? That is a smiley that was added to the forum some time ago, don't know why it would be randomly popping up though. It is kind of funny that it's that particular one. No, not a joke or anything, I don't know why that's happening. It's replacing the word images with that pic in the posts you see. That's freaking odd. I don't know man, if it keeps up I'll go to support for you.

If you're using the Something Dark theme, that one has been messed up for a bit and I can't seem to get in touch with the creator to work on a fix. Thought that was the only one with issues, but I seem to remember you using McGani's Dark theme. I'll take a look.

I checked out Nickpic hosting yesterday and my first impression was that I really like it! The user interface is really nice and clean, I love the way it displays the images uploaded. And the easy process of uploading. I will definitely be using it instead, if there are no issues. I was trying out imgbb.com and their system is the exact same, but when I tried to log in the other day, none if my images would load at all, but I really liked their system so I'm happy for this suggestion, endo , thank you again! How much storage space do they allow you to have though? I don't remember seeing that listed anywhere. I'm not planning to use it as extensively as I used Photobucket, but it's still good to know how much I can upload.

No limit on bandwidth either. I think the largest a single image can be is 8MB, but that should be fine for most. I also like how there is no paid version, everyone uses the same deal. All they ask is for a donation in any amount if you like it and use it. nickpic.host/page/faqGlad you like it ✶April✶. I think it's a great host. I wouldn't say perfect but I'll take it over PhotoBucket.
