Watched Hatchet II at 1am earlier today(?), I guess is the way I would put that. Anyway, I really liked the first Hatchet and didn't expect the second one to be as good but I liked it about the same as the first. I bought the first one because of the cast of horror icons I noticed that were in it. At first all I knew about was Tony Todd and Robert Englund but found out that it also had Kane Hodder, who played the role of Victor Crowley. The thing that I really liked about Hatchet II was that Tony Todd played a bigger role in this one. He was one of the main characters and didn't just have a small part like in the first. Another thing I liked was the fact that Danielle Harris, of Halloween fame, played the role of Marybeth in Hatchet II. I've been wanting to watch Hatchet II but never got around to it until earlier, I'm glad I watched it tho. If you liked the first Hatchet, you'll like the second.

It picks up right where the first one left off right?
I'm excited about this one. Saw the first one at a friend's house and I really loved it. True 80's style horror at it's finest. Glad to hear it's as good as the first.

It picks up right where the first one left off right? Yes sir. It doesn't skip a beat. I'm thinking about watching both of them back to back tomorrow night.

Wow, about as true a sequel as you can get. Can't wait to see it. If only more movies were like this, horror could be at it's peak again.

Yep. It's a tribute to 80's slasher films. Gore, boobs and more gore!

I had high hopes for it and I wasn't disappointed, I don't think you will be either.

Huge fan of both movies. Adam Green did a great job and has become one of my new favorite writer/directors. Hatchet III has been announced for release next year and I have high hopes for it.

As long as it stays true to the formula, I won't complain.

Just read an Adam Green interview and he isn't going to be directing Hatchet III. He will be there during the process of making the movie but isn't going to be in the directors seat. He didn't mention the new director by name but did drop some hints. So far the name that has come up the most is assistant director Craig Borden.

I have to see these. Just bumped Hatchet to the top of my queue so I can add it the 50 movies thing. I'm excited about seeing this. Hatchet 2 will be right after.

Hatchet 2 is playing on one of the Cinemax channels in a few minutes so I will finally be getting around to checking it out. Will post my opinion when it's over.
