I might be more excited for this than Avengers Endgame and I've dedicated a decade of my life following those movies.

I gotta say, I'm not big into Godzilla movies but I'm fired up for this one. Looks like it's gonna be really good.

I love the original Godzilla movie. The Japanese original, not the neutered, Americanized version with Raymond Burr.
The only recent Godzilla that even comes close to the original is the 2016 movie, Shin Godzilla. For me, any way.
I mean, I did like the Matthew Broderick one growing up, but luckily my tastes have gotten a little more refined since being a kid. I say a little more, 'cause I do still like stuff like Bewitched with Nicole Kidman. Stuff most people tend to deride. Even probably you all.
Anyway, with this sequel it's okay. Decent enough. Still suffers from the last one's mistakes. The one with Bryan Cranston. Too many human characters. Not enough monster action. Also, what happened to Godzilla being scary? I realize the old series made it more of a hero, but the original had it scary af. Even for a couple of films it was an actual monster. Mothra was always good, if memory serves. I love Ghidorah though. Best monster foe of all time.
I'm hoping Godzilla vs. Kong is the best of the series. Third times the charm, right?
