I have this in paperback and I am in the process of reading it. Has anyone else read this novel? What are your thoughts on it, good or bad? Would you recommend it to someone else? Welcome to the Dead House.
Three students: dead.
Carly Johnson: vanished without a trace.
Two decades have passed since an inferno swept through Elmbridge High, claiming the lives of three teenagers and causing one student, Carly Johnson, to disappear. The main suspect: Kaitlyn, "the girl of nowhere."
Kaitlyn's diary, discovered in the ruins of Elmbridge High, reveals the thoughts of a disturbed mind. Its charred pages tell a sinister version of events that took place that tragic night, and the girl of nowhere is caught in the center of it all. But many claim Kaitlyn doesn't exist, and in a way, she doesn't - because she is the alter ego of Carly Johnson.
Carly gets the day. Kaitlyn has the night. It's during the night that a mystery surrounding the Dead House unravels and a dark, twisted magic ruins the lives of each student that dares touch it.
Debut author Dawn Kurtagich masterfully weaves together a thrilling and terrifying story using psychiatric reports, witness testimonials, video footage, and the discovered diary - and as the mystery grows, the horrifying truth about what happened that night unfolds.

I don't read nearly as often as I used to Alice. So much to watch and I feel like I'm always behind on that. I should get back into reading, but I just seemed to get distracted every time I try. So, I don't know anything about this book. My wife reads a lot and one thing she always says when I ask her what new book she's reading and why, is how will I know if I like it if I don't read it? So, read away, and it'd be great if you posted back what you thought of it. Might be my wife's next book!

Sadly, I don't read books without pictures anymore.

Well, I'm still in the process of reading this book (I have a bad habit of reading multiple books at a time). But so far I'm enjoying it. It reads different than your average book because you're reading through "psychiatric reports, witness testimonials, video footage, and the discovered diary". They all play a part in the story and they all help tell the story through different characters in the book.

I just finished reading this Friday night before I went to bed.
I actually enjoyed it. The book gets really creepy, especially there towards the end. I don't want to reveal too much because I don't want to ruin it for someone else that wants to read the book.
