"A highly unexpected, incredibly exciting bombshell was dropped yesterday, with the announcement that Robert Englund will be playing Freddy Krueger one more time for this year’s Halloween episode of “The Goldbergs,“ being described as a love letter to Elm Street! The episode, titled “Nightmare on Elk Avenue” and airing in October, centers on the fears of the show’s teenage protagonist, Adam, after seeing A Nightmare on Elm Street. We were treated to a brief teaser announcement video yesterday, and today brings an official promo photo for the episode that should look mighty familiar to hardcore Elm Street fans. Back in the day, Englund and Heather Langenkamp posed for an Elm Street photo shoot, one that has now been recreated with Englund and “Goldbergs” star Wendi McLendon-Covey!" bloody-disgusting.com/tv/3523101/promo-photo-robert-englunds-return-freddy-goldbergs-recreates-iconic-elm-street-photo/

I am not a fan of this show. I don't know what it is about it. Maybe it tries too hard. I don't know. Just not for me.
This episode and the one with Rick Moranis' voice at the end as Dark Helmet were the only episodes I've ever fully watched of the series just because of Robert Englund and Rick Moranis. It was nice to see those reprisals, but kind of letdowns too, for me.
Just makes you want another Freddy movie. Another Spaceballs movie. Or any movie with Rick Moranis back onscreen.
