I watched this movie over the opening weekend and I didn't think it was that bad. I saw where the only movie that beat this movie out at the box office was Hobbs and Shaw and it didn't beat it by that much. Even thought they resolved everything in the movie, they did leave it open for another movie. If they do make another movie, I will go see it.
I read the books when I was a kid. I have the books now and I plan on re-reading them now that I have watched the movie.

I actually bought the book with all three separate volumes in it, so I could read all the stories again in one book. The stories are so short you can blaze through them pretty quick. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie, and glad you liked it Alice. It's PG-13 so I'm not expecting gore or screaming scares, but the trailers look fun to me. Yeah, I want to see this.

@endo
When I found out it was PG-13, I wasn't expecting it to be really terrifying or anything either. Plus, the books that this is suppose to be based on is consider "kids horror". I felt like it was still a good movie despite that.

I still need to see this one.
PG-13 gets a bad rep, but scary is scary.
So, yeah. I still want to see this. Looks creepy. Nothing too serious, just good, campy fun.

If you liked the books when you were younger, this is like the stories amped up. The stories don't hold up today, but the movie was alright.
