"What you can’t see can hurt you. Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss (Us, Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale) stars in a terrifying modern tale of obsession inspired by Universal’s classic monster character.
Trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist, Cecilia Kass (Moss) escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer, NBC’s The InBetween), their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge, Straight Outta Compton) and his teenage daughter (Storm Reid, HBO’s Euphoria).
But when Cecilia’s abusive ex (Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House) commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turns lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia’s sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see."
February 28th.

This looks very good. I love the updating of this classic tale. I will definitely see this when this comes to theaters next month.
Elizabeth Moss is a superb actor.

I like the looks of this one too. Normally, I'm an if it's not broken don't fix it kind of guy, but this looks good. Sometimes a remake is a good thing... sometimes.

I did not like the trailer at all. Seems too small scale for this. Is this still part of the "Monsterverse" Universal tried to establish with the recent Dracula Untold and Mummy Impossible 4?

I don't know if it's a part of that series or not NDX. This is what I found on Bloody Disgusting... "With the PG-13, action-heavy “Dark Universe” behind us, Universal Studios is now dedicated to bringing back their iconic monster movies in far more interesting ways, and up first is The Invisible Man from Blumhouse and Upgrade writer/director Leigh Whannell. Just how far have we come from the days of the planned/failed “Dark Universe,” you ask? Well for starters, The Invisible Man is definitely going to be a rated “R” horror movie! "The MPAA has given the film an “R” rating for “some strong bloody violence, and language.” This should probably come as no big surprise, as the official trailer had hinted at a few bits of Upgrade-style violence. And we expect nothing less from Leigh Whannell."

I really like what Whannell did with Upgrade, my movie of the year 2018. But so far this hasn't caught my attention.

Looks like the violence will be satisfying based on the trailer, but I'm still not really feeling it. Might see it simply because I have Regal Unlimited.

I mean, it's coming out in a pretty barren month, so I'll probably do a double feature with something else.

I think it looks like a good twist on the original, and I like the fact that she's the only one that knows what's going on and no one believes her. I'll check it out. Then again, I won't be seeing it in the theater, probably wait til it's on one of the Roku apps we have.

I loved this movie. Great update. I wanted to see Upgrade before this movie so I could get a feel for Leigh Whannell as a director. I like him. He's great here behind the camera as well, although there are some questionable moments with the effects. Nothing can beat the original in that department for me. So innovative at that time. Anyway, this version is well worth the price of admission. Might see it again 'cause my girlfriend wants to see it. Should have waited for her, but I was too excited. Told her when we first started dating the only thing she has to worry about me cheating on her with is seeing a movie we both want to see without her because of being overeager. I'm trying to curb that habit. With all that said, see this movie. I might actually like Leigh Whannell as a director more than James Wan. Director/writer.
