Funny you mention pushy salesmen. Here in MD, when we were new car shopping, it took us three dealerships before we found a salesman who actually seemed like he wanted to sell us a car. The others seemed put out. I had showered and everything.

Haha. Yeah, we finally found a really nice one at the Volkswagen dealership this past Wednesday night. He didn't lie to us when we asked about gas mileage and actually listened to what we wanted and attempted to make a connection with us, instead of just trying to sell us the most expensive car on the lot. So that right there makes me want to buy a car from him instead of anywhere else.

The way a salesman comes off can go a long way in the decision making process. We actually wanted to buy another Honda when we were shopping, but the salesman acted so meh, we left before looking at anything they had on the lot. We ended up at a Hyundai dealership, and the salesman was so awesome, my wife bought a car there that day.
