Who are some of your favorite comedians of all time? Stand-up or otherwise.

I really like George Carlin. More so his Class Clown and Bill & Ted days. His routine got more cantankerous and bitter in later years. I used to like that stuff, but nowadays not as much.
Richard Pyror is great. Eddie Murphy too.
It's hard to like people like Bill Cosby or Louis C.K. any more. I saw Louis C.K. live in concert once. It was a funny show. Kind of tainted now though.
Chris Rock can still make me laugh. I love his show, Everybody Hates Chris.
Sarah Silverman is another good comic. Jesus Is Magic is really up my alley.
Other people? Steve Martin, Jerry Seinfeld, Adam Sandler, Joan Rivers, Robin Williams, and the list goes on. I love comics. I love comedians. I love comedy. Irreverent. Topical. Nonsensical. A whole lot of stuff.
Now, that doesn't mean I love all comics or comedy. Some people can be too dry, too weird, or too disrespectful. It's a fine line. Two of the hardest genres to make, in my opinion, are comedies and horror movies. It's harder than you think to make people laugh and to scare people.

Carol Burnett is another comic legend. So are Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner.

Man, Tim Conway and Harvey Korman had such good chemistry on The Carol Burnett Show, and Conway would try so hard to make Korman crack up, usually successfully.
