Hi everyone!
I came across your site and I gotta say I just love it!
I'm an amateur horror writer, mostly I write stories with ghosts and aliens and some vampire chronicle fanfiction.
My favorite movies are the old black and whites with Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney and Lon Chaney Jr, and of course Vincent Price! I also love Edgar Allan Poe.
Favorite horror movies include, everything from Stephen King!
My favorite author is Anne Rice!
This is a story I'm working on...
Damn. She got away!…
I whispered silently as I telepathically summoned my superiors and scant seconds later they responded, “It’s her, I’m sure of it!” I responded. No, no actual confirmation made, she barely spoke a word to me but my human sensory equipment tells me it has to be her…blood pressure skyrocketing, pulse racing, her face was flushed and her blue eyes failed to disguise her fear of capture by us!”
“Yessss,” hissed my superiors, “We have received the same readings on our HSE!” They said as they paused in exasperation. “You must find her!” one of my male superiors shouted, his accent slipping into our natural slithering lisp. “You know our species depends on getting her back on that Island before THEY get to her!”
“I know,” I replied with a low hiss, my own natural accent slipping through. I touched my Adam’s apple, or what would have been my Adam’s apple if I were Human, and I could feel the sweat of my brow begin to seep our own natural sticky form of sweat. Quickly, I took a cloth from out of my jacket pocket to clean the green slime away before anyone at the airport noticed.
The machine implanted into my voice box to make me sound more human was beginning to irritate me, and the irritation was causing my natural scales to show across my surgically enhanced and perfectly tan humanlike skin. “I’ll get back to you when I know more,” I told him my voice thickening at the end, “I think I might have a lead to where she might be headed, and it’s possible her….children…might be searching for her.” “She isn’t aware of this but the creatures her and her colleagues made hold a distinct and clear telepathic bond with her, which will cause her to be nearly impossible to hide from them.”
“Zlemsphth!” They replied in unison and the telepath current quickly faded away. (Goodbye and get it done!)
I went to the information booth and with a big toothy grin I asked the information clerk who it was that was trying to locate Dr. Janowski, giving them a lame excuse that my wife had to slip to the ladies room. The clerk responded with a somewhat confused expression and his hand slowly reached to the back of his head, his eyes wincing in pain, “I don’t know what you mean sir, I haven’t paged anyone all afternoon.” “Thanks young man,” I said with a smile, and then I looked deeply into his worried eyes and whispered, “Don’t worry, the pain will subside soon, take a break and when you come back the pain will be gone.” “Have a great day sir!” He responded with a genuine smile.
I walked away to find a cab. Her children were definitely here and they were following closely behind her! The pain in the young man’s eyes was caused by their presence still in his mind, and from their presence in his mind I was able to zero in on their location, and they were following closely behind her!
There were so many of them, which is not unlike our species to breed in litters, my own life-form matron had birthed six of us. However, because the team of military human research scientists had used a human mother, countless eggs had hatched! In the young man’s mind I counted 22 telepathic minds searching for their mother! Our kind was an intellectual, passive and a gentle one, but these mutations were not totally of my kind!
I slipped into the backseat of the cab and peered into the rear-view mirror to make sure I still looked like the ever friendly Mr. Bob Anderson. Smiling my big toothy grin, I telepathically zoned in on the cab driver that was being followed mentally by her children. My cab driver did not say a word and hypnotically followed my mental directions that would lead me to her, hopefully before her offspring found her first!
lol, So, those are the crazy horror things going on in my head!
I hope someone enjoyed that!

Hi! Welcome to the forum and thanks for the kind words, glad you like it.
I liked the story, hope you keep going. I wish I were able to write a story. I come up with ideas sometimes, but can't make my brain make my hand put those ideas on paper. Always a little envious of the folks that can.
Anyway, welcome aboard and enjoy the horror!

Hi Endo!
Ah, don't be envious, life's too short for that! I'm actually looking for amateur writers and you don't have to come up with a story either! I have tons of stories in my head! Well...2 or 3 anyway, lol!
I'm not spamming you here, but if you're really interested in practicing your writing skills, you are very welcome to join my own proboards at The Coven of the Articulate, I'm the admin there and you have a special invite.
I've been on hiatus for about 7 or ten years and I'm just trying to breathe life into the place.
If you decide to join, you can post a little or you can post a lot, that is all up to you as any character you like, or as yourself.
Oh...I'm a little embarrassed, but I was practicing entering affiliate codes, (I know I should have asked first, sorry!)
Anyhow, I went on ahead and affiliated your code to my forum, if that's not welcome just let me know and I'll remove it.
I haven't made my own code yet, cuz dammm, that takes a while to understand! lol
Anyhow, more than anything I'm glad you liked my story! It's building up to! I'd love to have you as a co-writer on that piece at the coven! You could be a reverent vampire or a ghoul, or one of those aliens that were talking to Bob Anderson!
The cool thing about this writing is you don't have to get a headache trying to figure out what to write, cause your co-writers will help you along.
Oh....anyone reading this is welcome to join.

I don't know about joining and posting any writing, like I said, just not my thing. But thank you. And thank you for adding us in your affiliates section. If you do make an affiliate banner for your forum, just let me know, happy to add you here.
Cool forum, hope it does well. Too few horror forums around any more, gotta keep the scares alive! Hope you keep posting here too.

Thanks Endo! Yes, I'll be posting here, mostly in the movie areas and mostly on the weekends. I kinda do wish you had a catagory/thread specifically for people that like to write horror for fun.
lol, it might take me a whole week to figure it out, but as soon as it's made I'll give you my affiliate code.
Happy Screams!!!

It was a dark, moonless night when gabrielledelioncourt entered the dank and dusty crypt that houses the HOL denizens. Thinking herself alone, she was startled when she felt a hand touch her shoulder from behind. With a little shriek of fright she whirled around to face a woman whose ethereal skin was so pale it was practically translucent. "You are most welcome here, please make yourself at home." she said, her alarmingly long canine teeth gleaming in the torchlight. "Would you care for refreshments, we have some delectable finger sandwiches." she said as she gestured to a tray atop a coffin shaped table covered by a black satin cloth. As gabrielledelioncourt reluctantly made her way to the table, the woman said "Oh where are my manners, I'm Occupant and you are...?"

Welcome. That's true, either section would be fine.

Hi Occupant, nice to meet you!
Cautiously I entered the dusty crypt, the dankness of the night choking me, the smell of death filling me to my inner core. I took a deep breath, my skin cold and clammy as I had not feed yet, the complexion of my skin pale and ghastly! Such a shame mortal makeup was a total waste on us! Suddenly, I heard a shriek fill the night air and there before me stood a woman, bold and tall, and not one of my kind! Her long fangs brushed against my hair as her hot breath warmed my cold skin. She made an elegant gesture towards a plate of rotting fingers sliced evenly and placed atop a filthy plate, maggots wiggling in and out between each finger.
"Ummm...so nice to make your acquaintance, so kind of you to prepare such a ....delectable meal! Unfortunately, I have already eaten, but I thank you for your kind gesture." I said as my body inwardly heaved from utter revulsion!
In the near distance, perhaps directly outside the little crypt, a lone wolf howled, followed by another, and another. My blue eyes glimmered with hunger, the smell of live blood overcame the smell of death. And they will fight for their little lives too, won't they, silly little dogs.
"Pardon me madame...I think perhaps I might just partake in a little snack after all!"
