So, I've noticed here recently the forum has been really slow. Slow to load pages, slow to post messages, hack slow for me to log out at times.
It hasn't been all the time but it has been enough for me to become extremely frustrated. Contacted ProBoards, and they were helpful. The first person suggested it may have been the custom code Tony used to add the YouTube video at the top of the main page and the slideshow. But, they were in place before this started happening, so that didn't make sense to me.
Today, after pulling my hair out posting here, I got this response from another mod on ProBoards
Your forum is on a server that's about to be on its way out. A new replacement server was setup last night, and last I heard if all goes well, forums are expected to be transferred to the new machine by tomorrow. You may experience random slowness until that time, but the forum should be as fast as ever once it's transfered. Apologies for the inconvenience until then, however."
That makes me feel better, I felt like it was only this forum having issues. So, bear with us, and ProBoards while they make the server switch. Hopefully this time tomorrow, all will be back to normal.
It does seem to be better...at times. It's still slow every now and then, but I'm assuming they are still getting the switch finalized. Should be all straight by this afternoon I would think. But, this is much improved over the last few days.
