Modern day classics, if you ask me. I've been a fan of these 2 films for a long time, and recently found them for the price I've been looking for them for. I haven't been able to see these in years, so this has been a huge treat for me.
Also, seeing the opening to the movie within a movie Stab pay tribute to William Castle with their version of "Emergo" (c'mon, it's the new Scream-o here) was a nice touch.
Yes, 3 was a flop, which is why I didn't buy it last night, even though it was the same price as the others. I think I can wait for that one. And from what I've hear, 4 was total crap. Oh well, at least the first 2 parts were great films.

The beginning of the first one is just disturbing. The first time I saw that I was legit upset, knowing full well it was just a movie, lol. I love both of these too.

The first 2 are good movies that gave the horror franchise a much needed boost and change in direction. Haven't seen them in years so I'm not sure if they hold up well in my eyes, but I remember enjoying them after multiple viewings back then.

I thought they held up well. Considering the slasher genre, a lot of the older movies hold up, and these do the same. Shame the sequels screw that upl.

i look back and say i enjoyed 4 if you look at it for what it is as a genre and can pull yourself into the fantasy world that this all takes place in... 3 sucked

3 was terrible. I shouldn't ask "Who the hell is that" when they reveal the killer. Absolutely dreadful.

It was a very, "Wait, what?" moment.

Think I saw 3, don't remember. Guess I did then.

It's a lot like the 60's. If you remember it, then you weren't really there.

I think it was so bad, in comparison to the first 2, that I just blocked it from memory.
