Deep Blood is an Italian shark themed horror film directed by Joe D'Amato from 1990. It begins with a group of young boys making an oath through an older Native American decades earlier before ascending into the present time for when the film first came out. After a giant shark attacks and kills somebody near shore, the Mayor gets the Coast Guard to hunt down and blast that shark to death, but after they think they got rid of that shark, it then turns there is another one that is a lot bigger and a lot deadlier swimming in the ocean near shore. That one also turns out to be a lot smarter and lot harder to find when they have their boats, helicopters, and machines guns ready for it. A group of locals who have the equipment and knowledge to trapping and blowing up the shark then go out to take it into their own hands until things start going wrong and they eventually get ordered back to shore by the Coast Guard. There is a lot of great suspense, along with a lot of great explosive action throughout the film. There is also a lot of good drama, dialogue, and well developed characters. The editing is very well done as well. Those who enjoyed "Jaws," "Piranha," and the like should enjoy this one as well.
