"Bar Down" is a project that my closest friend Lena did both as a personal passion project as well as his main project for his Media Studies class. Currently the only fully realized footage of it is the opening scene he made for the class, which can be found here, but he also talks a lot about the plot and whatnot on his class blog (which I won't link here cause I don't know if he'd be okay with it becoming publicly accessible information, but I will summarize a few things from the posts) "The plot of my film would follow a hockey team, who have no ice etiquette and are overall rude and nasty people who commonly cheat on the ice, The goalie of another team (who the killer plays for) takes notice of this, and having a very reoccurring history of killing people, he decides to trap the team after hours in the rink and take care of them himself." - Quote from his class blog page He really loves hockey and also really loves horror, so I believe that (given the resources/time), he could do something very cool with that. I also think he's insanely talented. It's also just a pretty original idea because, as he explains in this video, sports and horror don't too often go together, especially not with a more obscure sport like hockey. Jason's goalie mask comes to mind but, from what little knowledge I have of the Friday the 13th films, they aren't actually sports films. As he explains in the previously linked commentary video, the clip shows the victim (played by his friend Max, who I have also had the pleasure of meeting) hearing a noise and being startled. This momentary distraction allows the goalie to kill him and the rest of the clip shows his body being dragged away as the goalie cleans the blood off of his equipment. Whatever form Bar Down takes in the future, I am excited to see it

I think it looks very professional. It's well done. Does he hope for a career in the film industry?

I was thinking of the film Rollerball when you mentioned sport and horror. It's not a horror film, it's set in a dystopian future, where violent games entertain the masses. I read the short story a while ago, Roller Ball Murder, slowly in it the rules of the game are stripped away to supply more and more violence, until only certain death remains. This is from the 1975 version, there is a remake:

This one sounds like a particularly good one
