Watched this last night, just ok to me. Creepy, but it doesn't really get going, scare and gore wise till about halfway through. Good cast, liked them all well enough, but the way it's put together just seems it could have picked up a lot sooner, especially given the premise. Plus, there's just some weird stuff in it and left some things unexplained.
Ok watch, and I've seen way worse, so give it a shot and see what you think.

I saw it last night too, and I agree. Took a hot minute to get going. But once it did I liked it. Loads of T-N-A too so it’s a bit awkward to watch with a girlfriends family…..

I just felt like it could have been better, but I think that about most newer horror movies. @kavid11b I didn't understand about the giant fish in the water. They never explained that.

This is one I need to see - I've heard mainly good stuff about it. I did like The House Of The Devil which was by the same director.
Just discovered that X had a prequel which came out recently called Pearl, which was shot back to back with X. He's also working on a sequel called Maxxxine

I was not a fan. This movie was so slow and overly long to boot. Definitely don't understand the hype for this one

Maybe Pearl will be a better flick. The trailers for it definitely looked better than the ones for X did.
