Macabre is an Italian giallo horror film taking place in New Orleans, LA, directed by Lamberto Bava, who is the son of Mario Bava. Despite not being nearly as good as his father, Lamberto still does have some good stuff, and this is one example. It starts off with a wife and mother having an affair with another man at a nearby bed and breakfast place, only to have her daughter kill off her son after she leaves those two alone. When she first hears of her son drowning, she and the man who she has the affair with try rushing to the hospital, only to have a top speed head on crash on the way, killing off the man driving and knocking her unconscious. After she gets out of the hospital a year later, she moves into the bed and breakfast place she had the affairs in, divorced from her husband and allowed periodic visits from her daughter. Things then get to be very strange as events lead up to her discovering what actually did happen to her son, with people mysteriously getting killed off...
