It is with a heavy heart that I bring to you the news of our dear friend Endo, better known as Dave to many of us, passing away on September 4th. Today would have been his 53rd birthday.
Dave was a long time friend of mine. Although I have never met him in person, I've been able to call him a friend for over 12 years, bonding over our mutual love for wrestling, music and, of course, movies. Over the years we had our ups and downs, but that just made the friendship stronger as time went on.
He brought this forum to life and allowed us to have fun when we weren't allowed to elsewhere. Where making bad jokes and posting bad movies were encouraged. Where watching movies was more than a pastime, it was a bonding experience. And I thank him for that.
My thoughts and love go out to his family and all his friends.
Rest in peace, brother. You are and will always be missed.

I was deeply saddened to hear that Dave had passed away. It came as a great shock, as I'm sure it did to many. His much loved wife and his family are in my thoughts and prayers.
I haven't been on this forum as long as many of you, but from the first day I started to post Dave made me feel welcome and like a long time member. He was also encouraging, and gave me permission to post whatever I wanted (within a few limits), which if you follow this site you will see I took up with gusto.
What I particularly noticed about Dave was his obvious passion for the forum, it was a passion that he passed on to other members. Despite being labelled a horror forum, didn't matter if you had no real knowledge or interest in the genre, you where still welcome here, the doors were open to you. But there was also a deep level of kindness in him. He would always try to reply to peoples posts on here and engage with them. He had some supportive personal words for me, and I know he helped out people on other forums, by both joining, posting, and using his years of expertise running Horrors Online to help with technical issues.
Dave, or Endo as we knew him as, touched thousands who visited his forum through the years; some passed through, some stayed, but once you meet someone, then a tiny part of that person becomes part of you, as a memory, it is never really forgotten.
I'm very glad I met Dave, even if it was for only a short time, he made me smile, and that's among the greatest gifts of all. I'm also glad I got to do one of the movie marathons with him, it was obvious he enjoyed those a lot and really looked forward to them. Though I'm afraid I was unable to keep up with him, but he didn't care, the fun was taking part.
Thank you Endo for everything, I won't forget you, and I promise to eventually finish that Animated August marathon!
Love,
Anna

Endo was my husband of 22 years. He really loved this forum so much, and I think it showed. I could say a million wonderful things about him but right now my heart is too broken to even think straight. So let me just say thank you to all his friends here and to everyone who helped make this place great. I know he appreciated you all.

I just saw this thread. My head is reeling and I am in shock! I am crushed by this news, truly. It's going to take a while for me to process this. My heartfelt prayers go out to his wife and family. May you feel the presence of the Holy Spirit comforting you through this time of grief and loss now and in the coming days.

I was just gonna check in right now when I saw this, and can't believe it. My most sincere condolences go out to livingdeadgirl, his family and all his friends. As well as the founder of this great message board, he was also a member of a few of my own and will be missed greatly. This hasn't sunk in right now, and I might add more later but for now, Rest In Peace Dave, you will be greatly missed. Peter.
