For some reason, the opening bumper for New Line Cinema has been a comfort to me for the last 2 and a half decades. So many movies from my childhood and now in my adulthood bring me great pleasure and enjoyment, and that bumper gives me a warm feeling beforehand.
Films such as:
- The Nightmare on Elm Street Saga (watching the remake start with that oh so comforting bumper inspired me to post this thread) - Critters 1, 2 and 4 (wha?) - The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trilogy (yes, even that third film) - No Holds Barred (coming to dvd THIS JUNE!) - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake - Suburban Commando - The Mask - Mortal Kombat - Se7en (I love this movie) - The Long Kiss Goodnight - Spawn (horrible fun) - The Austin Powers trilogy - The Blade trilogy - The Lord of the Rings trilogy (amazing films I've gladly double dipped for) - Jason X (EEEEEEEE! Such stupid fun) - Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle - A History of Violence - Domino - The first 2 Final Destinations
Now, they are a distribution company for Warner Bros. Pictures, but they still have their hands in some good films.
- Appaloosa - As well as the Friday the 13th and Nightmare remakes.
See, that's a lot of good feelings up there.
Oh, I could watch that all day.

Love that too. Despite all the great movies New Line is tied to, that always makes me think of one movie in particular. In the Mouth of Madness. Even now when I played it, this movie came immediately to mind. And now, I think I'm gonna go watch it.

For me, it's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That opening up the very first movie always has a way and getting me amped for what I'm about to enjoy (now in Blu-Ray).

Cant say im a big fan of the house that freddy built. Media now theres a great company even put distrubuted the nightmares back in the day. Critters 1 and 2 are the only really cool ones that pop to my mind.

And now I have to watch In The Mouth of Madness again. Not complaining, love that movie and it helps with the 13 Days of Creepmas.

Hah, is it bad that I've never really noticed it too much?! I mean, obviously I've seen it before, but it doesn't evoke any particular feelings for me...

Every time I hear it it reminds me of the first TMNT movie and the opening to the movie. It just flowed so perfectly into the opening theme and scene.
