Peter Jackson's blood splattered, fun filled gore-fest!
Its been 20 years since this film was released but i personally consider it to be a cult classic.
It's reported to be the film that used the most fake blood and gore than any other film. And i can believe that.
the following video has some scenes from the film, but the music has nothing to do with the film.

Another film my wife will leave the room over if I decide to watch it. I think it's a blast and right up there with Cemetery Man, only much more gory.
Both are just a fun, gory ride.

I remember not liking this film when I first saw it, but that was because I got the crappy ass edited version from Blockbuster. When I saw the film as intended, I loved the hell out of it. Gory, funny, campy goodness!

I must have gotten an unrated copy when I rented it back in the day, I was blown away. It was like the perfect package lol. Couldn't believe how over the top it kept going the first time I saw it.

Blockbuster sucks, especially when it comes to horror. It almost ruined this classic for me!

I think you were with me when I picked it up at Kim's. It cost me almost nothing then, and it was totally worth it.

Yeah, I was looking at that and Basket Case last time I was there. When we go back, if both are still $10 a piece, I'll probably be adding them to my collection.

Basket Case is currently @ amazon.com for $3.45 for used. A pretty decent price for a classic film. Dead Alive is up for $3.00.

Both are classics that any fan of the genre should probably own. Not bad prices on those. Can't remember what I paid for my DVDs of these, but it was more than that.

Not bad at all, and I'm certainly not opposed to buying things used.

This is the Peter Jackson I miss. As much as I liked the Lord of the Rings series, I really loved Jackson's early, much more inventive flicks. Much more. Bad Taste. Meet the Feebles. This. His last great one, before diving into Middle Earth, being The Frighteners.
Anyway, this is great fun. Gory to the nth degree.
For the longest time I hadn't seen it, although I think my sister watched it at one point long before I did. Yet I will always remember that box cover with the woman and the skeleton in her mouth. Good poster art is something that shouldn't be sneered at. For sure.
