It wasn't terrible,to me. Although, for some reason I wanted strangle Will Sasso even though he was doing a good Curly. I guess just because when I first heard about it, I was expecting a biography. Not something I'd want to see again, but it wasn't as bad as I was thinking it would be.

I won't be watching it again, but I found it to be a decent way to kill 90 minutes. Beats most other comedies I've seen recently.

I loved the Three Stooges growing up. Curly being my favorite. Watched the shorts with my family. Not sure which one my sister and dad liked, maybe Curly for my dad, but my mom was always a fan of Shemp.
Loved the NES game of The Three Stooges as well. Years ago I got the best of the endings you could get from it. The one where all three of the stooges get to marry and save the orphanage.
Anyway, I've seen pretty much all their shorts, watched most movies about them, like the one made-for-TV with Michael Chiklis as Curly. I think that one was on ABC and produced by Stooges fan Mel Gibson.
I even watched a movie about a man obsessed with the Stooges so much his family and friends made him seek treatment. It was Stoogemania, I think.
I even loved listening to The Curly Shuffle off one of my Dr. Demento CDs.
Long story short, I was a fan, and was excited for The Farrelly Brothers' take on them. Although, truth be told, I was expecting a more behind the scenes movie like the one for ABC.
I saw this in theaters with my mother. I was in college at the time. I felt a bit stupid, and I kind of regret it, especially making my mother watch that with me, but it killed time. It wasn't the movie itself I regret seeing, per se. More so sticking around for the mid-credits scene rap. That was the worst part.
Who knows? Maybe when I have kids one day I'll revisit this one with them, but maybe not. Still waiting for a great movie about the real people behind these beloved characters.
