Lately, haven't been feeling any type of reading at all. Between work and life, I hardly have time for anything else. I do most of my reading in bed, anything from half an hour to 2 hours...depending on how tired I am lol. I find reading helps me go off to sleep

He's been hit or miss at times. Some of his stuff I had an extremely hard time finishing. The majority have been great reads for me, but some are just...ugh.

iI have nt read any King for a long time cos i got bored quite frankly. agree that the beginnings of his novels, yeah they set the scene etc etc but they can go on forever and I lose interest. I think the most recent one of his I read was was Rose maddox and needful things so we are going back quite a while now! I loved his earlier work, carrie, pet cemetary, christine, night shift, the dalk half, I never got around to reading the tommyknockers though I had it. Actually Im kinda in the mood for king I might have to pop along to amazon and re-purchase a few old favourites!

There are some King novels that I just can't get into...and he does have a tendency to go off on a tangent sometimes.
I just couldn't get to grips with 'Dreamcatcher' or 'Needful Things'. Books I have thoroughly enjoyed include:
Thinner Desperation The Girl who Loved Tom Gordon Dolores Claiborne Bag of Bones Firestarter Misery Insomnia Pet Semetary Different Seasons Everything's Eventual The Tommyknockers
I have a few books here that I haven't read yet:
Lisey's Story Cell Duma key Under the Dome Cujo [don't fancy this one at all] ;D

Under The Dome is good, so is Cell. If you like his shorter stuff, give his latest collection, Full Dark, No Stars a read. Some very dark stories in this one. Classic King.

Thanks Endo, I will I do love his short stories too...especially the two I mentioned. Just browsing through my collection now and I discovered another short story collection 'Just After Sunset'...didn't know I had that one! My daughter works in a discount book shop and sometimes fetches them home for me ;D

Nice Lee. If I ever have the time, I'm gonna try to re-read a lot of his stuff. I find I come away with a different point of view sometimes after reading them again.
