“In the year 2159 two classes of people exist: the very wealthy who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster), a hard the government official, will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can. When unlucky Max (Matt Damon) is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds.” dailydead.com/first-trailer-for-neill-blomkamps-elysium/In theaters August 9th.

I don't like or dislike Matt Damon but he is a good actor. I do like Jodie Foster though, and the trailer and synopsis look pretty good. I'd watch this.

I was about to say this has a District 9 vibe and boom, directed by... Well, I really liked District 9, and that trailer looked cool, so I'd definitely check this out.

The theme is very similar. May as well stick with what you know.

I hope this is good. I'm really tired of being let down by movies this year.

Knowing that Kruger is Murdock from the A-Team makes me want to see this more. Hope the Main Street Cinemas is getting this one, really want to see it for $5.

Wish we had a place around here we could see a movie in the theater for $5. Netflix is the best I can do for a cheap movie.

It's a horribly shoddy theater. Broken seats. Gum under armrests. Idiotic staff. But the prices are right for what you're getting. It's worth it only for the cheapness of the films. You can see some things you might not see otherwise because the prices are so low.

I'd take a run down theater with new movies on the cheap any day over the ones in Annapolis for $10.50 a pop. And that's the matinee price.

I spent $18 for the PacRim 3D. Granted, I didn't walk out disasppointed, but still. That's a couple of meals. Or a decent BD or trade off Amazon.

I want this to be a good movie. It looks like it really could be. Not a huge Matt Damon fan but that's not really something to keep me from a film.
