I'm out of the store in about 20 minutes, anyone know of any good free horror games? I can't pay for any...I can download one if it's good and won't take all night. What's the best scary game on the cheap?

There's a zombie game that I have been into for awhile. It's online based and you don't have to download the game (won't take all night) just need the program stuff (like flash and javascript and unity) to play it. It's free, but you can also get a gold membership (which you can choose to pay just a month for or get a gamer card and gold membership is actually worth it.) It might take awhile to get into it and used to it. It took me awhile and some friends, but some came back and some didn't. I've had to take a break from playing, but I'm missing it. If you're into zombies try: Dead Frontier (but if the first couple days it's so annoying just take a break and come back to it.) I love horror games (not just zombies.) Sometimes you can find large file horror games for trial at big fish games also. I'll keep in mind games (especially horror ...) Oooh, if you have a way to play silent hill ... there's plenty of them and they can actually get a little creepy at night. Just one or two I was thinking about today.

I think I've tried Dead Frontier before, that sounds really familiar. And, I really love the hidden object games on Big Fish. I've played all of the Silent Hill games at one point or another and I'm currently playing through Silent Hill 3 on the PC, but I always get stuck down in the subways for some reason. Played through all of the Resident Evils and the Evil Dead games. One I have that I've barely touched is Amnesia: The Dark Descent which is supposed to be really good, I just had trouble finding what to do at the beginning of it and got frustrated and never tried it again. Maybe I'll try that again some time. Ok cool, thanks for the suggestions!!

I still have to get through silent hill 3. I'm partial to xbox (because of the controller and how easier it is on the hands and makes for playing) for games and when DBA got the xbox there wasn't a huge, huge selection and he let me borrow it for a couple of weeks so I could try out buffy the vampire slayer (sorry a big fan of it...) and then I tried Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind and Silent Hill 2 and I was hooked and had to buy me one since he took it back home (we weren't married or living together when it first came out...) So, I (being such a great daughter of my parents) got an xbox as long as my gpa at uni. stayed up ... I ended up being totally into Morrowind but I have such issues with those kinds of games because I always want to perfect my character and start over and I never finish ... I so want to start up a character on it now ... DBA has skyrim and I still have to start oblivion because there was so many changes from morrowind and I try to wait for the game of the year with all the upgrades first ... I got through the first part of silent hill 3 ... but DBA is great about buying the games, so we had all of them for the most part but re-collecting them in a way right now. He just got the upgraded collector version for the ps3 with either 2 and 3 I think ... but the LO messed up the ps3 so it's mostly just wasting time waiting to play games. I love the horror games ... BFG's I had to get used to some of the hidden object ones, but I do like them now. I like the ones with good story lines, but they have large game files that I don't usually get and buy in the store instead. I haven't bought a good game from a store for a computer in quite awhile now that I think of it!
I tried to get my friends into Dead Frontier. If you absolutely think it's crap and possibly to hard and boring at the same time or it just doesn't make sense at first ... give yourself a little time to slowly go with it ... I hated it the first week I played it and most of my friends but one did too ... once you get the hang of it only the walking is what's annoying sometimes. lol

I don't buy a lot of games, especially for the 360 because I think Microsoft is a rip off most of the time. Pay for the system and the game, then you have to pay to play people online too? I can't even upgrade my roster on Madden 2013 with out the $60 subscription to Xbox Live Gold. I think that's a joke.
A lot of the older games like Doom and even The Suffering are freeware now on PC and I love playing through those. I'll give Dead Frontier a try again and let you know what I think...but I think the issue I had last time was I always clean everything... history, cookies... all of it when I log out. And that was wiping my save game so I couldn't play from where I left off. Is it available on disk?

I think we got a deal with the 360 on gold, but we kept gold for the content. Our 360 had the rings of death, so we went it back ... they sent it back and it went rings of death again, so they send a refurb. and it got the rings of death, so they sent us a brand new one with another year of warrenty and IT got the rings of death. DBA got so tired of shipping it back and forth (and I think he was getting into the ps3 more) that he sold it cheap. I'm all about the xbox because of the controller ... I can't stand the other controllers, except the wii ones is good for the games that I like to play and I had the regular controller for the others (but he sold that one on me too and my games.) I'm so excited all the new ones are about to come out ... get all those (except the new wii thingy isn't going over so well right now to my knowledge) but I mostly used that for the games that were specific to the game like animal crossing (I know it sounds kiddish but it's fun) and some of the rare ones that they make only for that. But I always try to get the games on xbox for the controller and I find it easier to use than ps3 and then get the ps3 specific for that and on..and on...Once the new ones come out and I'm hoping to have a computer set up for gaming soon ... Right now, I'm using DBAs chrome book and I can't even play games right now. I get all excited since it's so rare to go in game stop when it used to be as usual as going to starbucks or blockbuster or even moreso than the grocery store. lol I might not be great at the games, but I am proud of my banta fodder award. I haven't even bought a Big Fish game in such a long time ... the first time they had the first collector's edition buy one, get one free and I bought them and they checked out wrong so I had to give them up. But I got all the really cool supernatural ones and I'm a sucker for mental asylums.

I got the red rings on my last Xbox 360, then they fixed it. And then one night the tray wouldn't eject all the way so I pulled it really gently and it came out in my hand. I couldn't get it to go back in so I took the 360 outside and smashed it on my driveway, and you wouldn't believe the satisfaction that gave me, lol. Like an idiot, I bought another one. I should have gotten a PS3, but at the time, my reasoning was I already had a bunch of 360 games and no PS3 games.
I love the hidden object games, and the best ones I've ever played were An Accidental Haunting 1 and 2. Freaking great games with great stories and graphics. I play them over every few months and love them just as much as the first time.

I'd buy another 360, but might as well wait for the next one. It seems that they're trying to make it where none of the new ones are backwards compatible, which should be OK I guess since it's been a couple years since I've gotten many console games. I tend to get wrapped up in time management games from BFG and if I tried the trial of the accidental haunting then I don't remember it, but I didn't buy it for sure. There's one game I'm thinking about that was really, really, really good ... maybe DBA will remember it when I mention that there was a mission where you had to control a robot to get through to the other door and even with the walkthrough I couldn't do it and I never got to finish it ... it wasn't a scary, scary horror game, but more like a mystery horror game ... there's a part where you have to cook for your dad when you go home and you're a detective. I don't know why that game came to my mind all the sudden.

That sounds alright. If you come up with the name, let me know. I'd try that one out.
