See...I like that one. I just wish it had the letters and colors and the in-game could change to the button to push like on the xbox. Maybe that's too much of a cheat, but that was 1/2 of the draw to the machine (besides the games) that I liked. I agree with the privacy invasion. I mean, unplugging it is annoying but would work and some cover over the video. I agree that I don't neceessarily need the kinect although it might be fun for smaller kids to play. With the technology, you would think that microsoft would make their controller universal and playstation people would add some kind of app that allows the machine to acknowledge the changes and gives directions in game using the controller. I was really excited about the boomerang controller for the PS3 just because it could have been really comfortable compared to what it looked like, but it looked easier than what it is now. It's the controller that causes me a little frustration with playstation.

Playstation has more or less had the same controller for a while, so I'm very used to it. X-Box is a bit too big and bulky for my taste.

I play the PS2 a lot as well as the 360. I have a controller for the PC that is pretty much a PS controller, maybe a little bigger, so I can use any of them. If I'm playing football, I prefer the Xbox controller since I'm just used to the stick locations, my fingers just go there. But for other games, it really doesn't matter to me.

I just wish it was a little smaller. Also the shoulder buttons just don't feel natural to me.

Shoulder buttons never feel natural, not even on the SNES.

This new Xbox should just go all the way to suck and use this controller...

Shoulder buttons never feel natural, not even on the SNES. That's why THIS will always be my favorite controller of all time:

I don't know what Microsoft is thinking. I'm really amazed at all of this.

With this game licensing BS, what happens with Gamefly and Blockbuster?

Good question. I would think Microsoft has something worked out for them, that's revenue and that seems like all they're after now. I don't know how they would regulate it now though.

This sounds like a giant scam. And you know, people will fall for it.

Microsoft seems to have listened to the people, they had this to say on their official Xbox.com site... "An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games – After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360. Trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc based games just like you do today – There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360." Other changes can be read about here. Still, at $100 more than a PS4, I still wouldn't get the Xbox One. But, I have read that Sony will start charging to use the online service, don't know of the truth to that at the moment.

I read that this morning and laughed. They really shot themselves in the foot with that and pissed off some fans to the point where even THIS will not get them to come back and buy the system.
I thought the ps4 online was still optional to pay for, haven't heard about that yet. I hope so. I don't play online enough to justify paying for it.

Will the PS3 online still be free?
