If I have to pay for online for the new system, I may not buy it. Considering the price of games and everything else, I feel that paying an online fee is just too much, especially when I mostly play single player or local multiplayer. Why should I pay for a service I barely ever use?

"Because F*CK YOU I HAVE A GUN GIVE ME YOUR F*CKING MONEY RIGHT NOW I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK OR WHO YOU ARE F*CK YOU!"
Sony is tough, man.

At least they're not Microsoft.

Will the PS3 online still be free? That's a good question. One of the biggest draws of the PS3, or even the PS4 I guess, is that the online play and all is free. Now that the Xbox One is going to have Blu-ray, the best way to really set themselves apart from Microsoft, would be to keep the online part of it free. Aside from the $100 difference in price of the new consoles, there really isn't a lot separating them, so staying with the free online play would make sense to me.

I know they said that if you were already paying for the premium service on ps3, that it would carry over to the ps4 so you wouldn't be paying an extra fee for it, which is pretty cool. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

What's the difference between the premium service and the free service? Maybe that's what they were saying, and the basic service would still be free. I don't know.

Sweet, I doubt I'll get a new console, but I'd get the PS4 if I was.

Premium service gets you better online, first access to certain download titles first, and reduced price or free games. Not bad, but like I said, I'm not online enough to justify paying for it.

Isn't it a one time fee for a year, or was that something else?

Oh, I don't need that. I'd just like to be able to play online once in a while or get the occasional roster update without paying for it.

Xbox live is $60 for a year, IF you get the whole year. The monthly price jumps and you'd pay $72 if you went month to month. Plus it's mandatory to play online. Now they have a new thing, NFL on Xbox, trying to entice me. I have Sunday and a TV.

Damn, that kinda sucks for me, but at least it's cheaper than Xbox, and I don't need to have it to play Netflix. The prospect of getting free and reduced price titles also makes it sting a bit less.
