"In 1968 a young college drop-out named George A. Romero directed a low budget horror film that shocked the world and became an icon of the counterculture – “Night of the Living Dead.” “Birth Year of the Living Dead,” a new documentary, shows how Romero gathered an unlikely team of Pittsburghers — policemen, iron workers, teachers, ad-men, housewives and a roller-rink owner — to shoot, with a revolutionary guerrilla, run-and-gun style, his seminal film. During that process Romero and his team created an entirely new and horribly chilling monster – one that was undead and feasted upon human flesh. The “zombie” became it's own genre worth billions of dollars that continues to this day." linkNo release date yet.

I love behind the scenes stuff, especially in horror. I watched a 2 hour show the other day about White House staff and the behind the scenes stuff on when Kennedy was killed and Nixon's resignation and things like that. It was fascinating, so I know I'd love this, lol.

Now I'm just hoping he doesn't make any more Dead movies so he stops crapping all over his legacy. I doubt he could do worse than Survival, but I'd rather not find out.

To me, it WAS that bad. I couldn't believe he went from awesome practical effects to some of the worst CG I've ever seen in a film. The characters were all terrible and the story was just plain stupid. And don't even get me started on that ending...

Yeah, the CGI was crappy. But I get what he was TRYING to do. It just wasn't executed well.

It's a shame that Romero can't get a budget to make a decent film. Freaking Romero...we wouldn't have real zombie films if not for him, and he turned the horror world on it's ass with NOTLD in 68. But now he can't get the funds to do it right? There's something wrong with that. Of course, everyone thinks they can do it better now on the computer, they can't.

No, definitely not. It was sort of a reversal of Day, where this time the people who were trying to keep the zombies alive were the bad guys, and the ones who wanted to kill them were good. That family feud thing was just so silly though.
I did like the old guy with the hat though, Angus I think his name was? He was funny.

Him and the Spanish guy were cool. Every other character was forgettable. But, zombies eating a horse!

I got that in the Walking Dead, so I'm cool there.
