I hated this like the first 3 or 4 times I watched it. It was only in the last few years that I really started to like it. It helped that I'm a huge Tom Atkins fan.

I never wanted to watch it when I was younger. It wasn't until years later that I did and I could appreciate it.

I used to be in the camp of not liking this movie. If only because, like most people, this sequel didn't involve Michael Myers.
Nowadays, it's one of my favorite sequels of the series. Tom Atkins is great, as usual. Season of the Witch has one of the best endings too. Absolutely terrifying.
I understand Carpenter's reasoning behind leaving Michael Myers behind after two, but maybe just call this Season of the Witch without the Halloween stamp on it.
But the anthology idea sounds fun.
