Wish Simmons had a good run in WWF back in the day. Farooq was a great name, but a ish debut and look. Damn nerf helmet.

I wish Simmons had a better WWE run myself, but he did pretty well considering the goofy gimmick they had for him at the start. Plus you can never take away the achievement of him being the first ever black World Heavyweight Champion.

Awesome, I'm really liking all of these tributes so far. I always liked Simmons, especially in WCW and that's saying something for me as I think most of WCW stunk. I'm sure Tony Atlas is coming but I hope they cover some of the lesser known territory guys, like Porkchop Cash or Sweet Brown Sugar, Skip Young. They'll probably stick to company guys but it would be cool to see.
Oh, and I wonder who it was a few years back on the radio show that told Nick that Simmons was the first African American World Champion and Nick argued with them that he wasn't? I wonder who that was...

I'm expecting Rock next week, although I'd prefer Bad News Brown.

It would be awesome to have Bad News Brown. Talk about a legit tough guy. I think he was the one that was going to kick Andre's ass in Japan for using a racial slur and Andre declined to get off the bus and fight him. Probably a smart move.

I'm hoping for Bad News Brown myself. Make it so Double Double E!

Might have to be Big Vis now. It seems he just passed away a few hours ago. Very sad, Big Daddy V was pretty damn cool.
