She should really do the porn they implied in that film. Just saying. Otherwise, I had no idea who you were talking about either.

She's hot as hell. She should have, but that's neither here nor there.

Then again, I feel the same about Rosario Dawson and Vanessa Ferlito.

She's not bad looking, but she is very bland and forgettable.

That's true and now she's the lead in the movie I've been clamoring for for almost a year... that doesn't seem like a good sign.

I'll just do what I always do when going into a remake, reboot or prequel: Expect the worst and hope for the best.

That's exactly why my expectations are low.

I'm ashamed to say I have not seen this yet. I asked the wife all last week if she wanted to go Friday, opening day and my day off, that never happens. But she kept saying she didn't want to, it would be too many people on the first day. Finally, Friday about 5 in the evening, I said I can't believe we didn't go see The Thing, and she's like, lets go. And, then I didn't feel like it, lol. Then work today, and when I got off, really didn't feel like it.
I'll get to it.

I'm gonna try and see it next week. If not, I'll hopefully have a good HDTV by the time it hits the dvds. I was in Best Buy today, and they were doing a making of of it, and it looks like it incorprates some practical effects, but CGI mainly.

Boo to your CGI! I miss the days of practical effects.
I have horrible days off so I'll probably either see it on blu-ray or a download.

Sadly, I may end up waiting for this on DVD too. Although, I am off all next week, maybe we'll go see it. But, I have a feeling it will be a week of a whole lot of nothing. Staycations are the best.

A whole lot of nothing is sometimes a good thing. I had a co-worker who saw it and he said it was pretty good. I'm still a bit weary of it though to be honest.

I like nothing. Get a lot of comic reading done doing nothing.
I think I'll wait, only because of money and work. Since I want that upgrade (and I have an idea of what to get now), I think it's better to wait, unless something goes right.
Plus, I have books to buy, and that is more important than seeing a one-off movie.

I have some midnight movies to see that take priority over this one. Hopefully my Dad will get a copy soon so I can check it out.

My thing is it's always a pain. Nothing against my step son, but he's autistic and doesn't like movies. He could care less what's on the screen and he get;s irritable if he's stuck sitting in one place for long periods of time. Sometimes he yells, and that's not fun.
It's just easier all the way around to wait for the DVD. But, I am disappointed in myself for not seeing it opening day.
