Who knows, maybe not seeing it in the theater was a great decision. You'll find out eventually.

I have some midnight movies to see that take priority over this one. Hopefully my Dad will get a copy soon so I can check it out. Let me know of this one, I want in on this if you got it.

Who knows, maybe not seeing it in the theater was a great decision. You'll find out eventually. Maybe. I know in his way, Josh would be thankful we took the pass. He doesn't care for a lot of people either, so, that's another reason to just wait for the DVD. Unless of course it's a restaurant. Food trumps anything else for him. I think it's his one true love.

And a worthy true love to have.

Agreed. A really good meal can be euphoric. Especially when all he does all day is sit in his room. Poor guy doesn't like TV at all and can only tolerate the radio. He lights up when it's time to eat, though. I like to take him out to eat. Really the only actual enjoyment he gets. So, why not let him tear it up? He's more than earned it.

My boss went and saw this and thought it wasn't worth the money, and he was a fan of both the 55 and 82 films. Looks like this will be getting the dvd treatment now.

That's not encouraging to hear. Yeah, looks like it's time to add it to the queue.

I pretty much figured this would be the case. Oh well.

Disappointing even more so because I watched The Thing earlier today. And all that amazing practical special effects... oh, how sad.

Might just not be everyone's cup of tea. I'm gonna give the DVD a shot and hope the CGI doesn't kill it. The premise is great, so I'm guessing peoples gripes would be the effects.

I'm more interested in how they connect it.

Being a prequel to the 1982 version, one of the dogs takes the alien to MacReady's camp. I'm betting on the dog in the trailer chewing it's way out of the kennel.

Even though I've now relegated this to rental status, I bet I still love it when it comes out on DVD.
